INDICATIONS:Climen is indicated in patients (with intact uteri) suffering from climacteric symptomatology.Climen therapy may be used as an adjunct in preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.CONTRA-INDICATIONSPregnancy, lactation, severe disturbances of liver function, jaundice or persistent itching during a previous pregnancy, previous or existing tumours of the liver, uterus, ovaries or breast or a suspicion of such tumours, endometriosis, existing or previous thromboembolic processes, severe diabetes mellitus with vascular changes, sickle-cell anaemia, disturbances of lipometabolism, a history of herpes of pregnancy, otosclerosis with deterioration during pregnancy.DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USEBefore Climen is used, a thorough general medical (including measurement of blood pressure, analysis of urine for sugar, if applicable performance of special liver diagnostics as well) and gynaecological (including the breast and a cytological smear of the cervix and portio) examination should be performed in order to detect any diseases requiring treatment or risk factors and, where applicable, to rule out pregnancy. During the use, checks are recommended at intervals of about 6 months. The pack contains seven self-adhesive strips marked with the days of the week. Each strip starts with a different day of the week. Stick the strip that starts with your "Start" day along the top of the memo-pack where indicated. For example, if the tablets are started on a Wednesday, the strip that starts with "Wed" should be selected. Each tablet is thus marked with the corresponding day of the week and one can see at a glance whether the tablet for that day has been taken or not.Tablet-taking is always started from the blister marked "Start" and continued daily in the direction of the arrows until all 28 tablets have been taken. At the start of therapy the first tablet is taken on day 5 of the cycle (1st day of menstruation = 1st day of cycle). Menstruation will usually take place whilst the 7 non-hormonal tablets are being taken, before the next pack is started. The tablets are to be swallowed whole with some liquid.Patients with amenorrhoea (rule out pregnancy beforehand) and postmenopausal women can start taking the tablets - 1 per day over 28 days - on any day they like. After the 1st pack has been finished, the next pack of Climen is started on the following day.If no withdrawal bleeding occurs whilst taking the 7 non-hormonal tablets at the end of the pack, tablet-taking from the new pack should not be commenced until pregnancy has been ruled out.If a tablet is not taken at the usual time, it should be taken within 12 hours of that time in order to avoid the occurrence of intermenstrual bleeding. Quinine is used alone or with other medications to treat malaria (a serious or life-threatening illness that is spread by mosquitos in certain parts of the world). Quinine should not be used to prevent malaria or to prevent or treat nighttime leg cramps. Quinine is in a class of medications called antimalarials. It works by killing the organisms that cause malaria.Quinine comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It usually is taken with food three times a day (every 8 hours) for 3-7 days. Take quinine at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take quinine exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Swallow the capsules whole; do not open, chew, or crush them. Quinine has a bitter taste. You should begin to feel better during the first 1-2 days of your treatment. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse. Also call your doctor if you have a fever soon after you finish your treatment. This could be a sign that you are experiencing a second episode of malaria.Take quinine until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better. If you stop taking quinine too soon or if you skip doses, your infection may not be completely treated and the organisms may become resistant to antimalarials.Quinine is also sometimes used to treat babesiosis (a serious or life-threatening illness that is transmitted from animals to humans by ticks). Talk to your doctor about the risks of using this drug for your condition.
Cellmune is used for: Preventing organ rejection following kidney, liver, or heart transplants. This medicine is used in combination with other medicines. Mycophenolate (mye-koe-FEN-oh-late) belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressive agents. It is used to lower the body's natural immunity in patients who receive organ transplants. Cellmune is indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in patients receiving allogeneic renal, cardiac or hepatic transplants. Cellmune should be used concomitantly with cyclosporine and corticosteroids. Levodopa is one of several drugs used to treat ParkinsonÆs disease. A progressive disorder, ParkinsonÆs disease is associated with the reduced production of dopamine (an important neurotransmitter) by the brain. This, in turn, leads to problems with movement and coordination that worsen over time. Levodopa helps to mitigate movement problems because of its chemical similarity to dopamine. In fact, levodopa is converted into dopamine once inside the body.In general, levodopa is considered the most effective treatment available for ParkinsonÆs disease and its symptoms. Levodopa is often given in combination with another drug called carbidopa. This combination is known as Sinemet. It may provide significant benefit for five or more years. The combination of losartan and hydrochlorothiazide is used to treat high blood pressure. Losartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels, so blood flows more smoothly. Hydrochlorothiazide is in a class of medications called diuretics ('water pills'). It works by causing the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional. This drug may also be used to treat congestive heart failure and to help protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes. Losartan has been used to lower the risk of strokes in patients with high blood pressure and an enlarged heart. How to use Zaart OralThis medicine comes with a Patient Information Leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine.Take this medication by mouth, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. You may take this drug with or without food. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same time each day.Drink adequate fluids to prevent from becoming dehydrated. Tell your doctor immediately if these effects occur. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. For the treatment of high blood pressure, it may take 3 to 6 weeks before the full benefit of this drug occurs. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick.If you are also taking cholestyramine or colestipol, take losartan/hydrochlorothiazide at least 2 hours before either of these drugs.Zaart Oral is used to treat the following:High Blood Pressure, Severe Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Hypertension with Left Ventricular Hypertrophy
BETNOVATE-C is used to treat various inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. It is often used where there is or may be an infection, as well as inflammation.BETNOVATE-C belongs to a group of medicines known as corticosteroids, frequently called 'steroids'. They are not 'anabolic steroids' which are the steroids sometimes misused by athletes.BETNOVATE-C works by reducing the inflammation in the affected area to reduce the redness and itchiness of the skin.BETNOVATE-C also contains Clioquinol, which helps to prevent or clear up some bacterial or fungal infections of the skin. How to use Betamethasone Dipropionate TopUse this medication on the skin only. However, do not use it on the face, groin, or underarms or for diaper rash unless directed to do so by your doctor.Wash and dry your hands. Before applying the medication, clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 1-2 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not cover, bandage, or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. If your doctor directs you to use this medication in the diaper area on an infant, do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants. After applying the medication, wash your hands unless you are using this medication to treat the hands. When applying this medication near the eyes, avoid getting it in the eyes as this may worsen or cause glaucoma. Also, avoid getting this medication in the nose or mouth. If you get the medication in these areas, rinse with plenty of water.Use this medication only for the condition for which it was prescribed. Do not use it for longer than prescribed. Linezolid is an antibiotic used to treat certain serious bacterial infections that have not responded to other antibiotics (resistant infections). It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu). Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness. How to use Linezolide OralTake this medication by mouth with or without food, usually every 12 hours or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. In children, the dosage may also be based on weight, and they may be directed to take this medication every 8 hours.Linezolid is related to a group of drugs called MAO inhibitors. Certain foods interact with MAO inhibitors, causing severe headache and increased blood pressure. This could lead to a medical emergency. Therefore, it is important to avoid or limit intake of these foods to reduce your risk of these serious problems. (See Drug Interactions section).Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Therefore, take this drug at evenly spaced intervals. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection. Nix Dermal Cream is indicated for the treatment of scabies and crab lice. Treatment of scabies:Adults and children over 2 years old should apply the cream to the skin over the whole body including the palms and soles, but not the head and face. Pay particular attention to the areas between the fingers and toes (including under the finger and toe nails), wrists, arm-pits, external genitals and buttocks. Babies and children under 2 years old should be treated as above and also have their necks, faces, ears and scalps treated. Avoid the area around the mouth (as the cream could be licked off) and around the eyes. Children between 2 months and 2 years should only be treated under medical supervision.Elderly (over 65 years old) should apply as directed for adults and children over 2 years old but should also include their necks, faces, ears and scalps. Care must be taken to avoid applying Dermal Cream to areas close to the eyes. The cream should be left on for at least 8 hours, then washed off with soap and water not more than 12 hours later. Re-apply Cream to hands if they are washed with soap and water within 8 hours of treatment. The following table shows how much cream should normally be used: Adults (including Elderly) and children over 12 years: Up to one tube. A few adults may need to use an additional tube, but do not apply more than two tubes. Children aged 6 to 12 years: Up to half a tube Children aged 1 to 5 years: Up to a quarter of a tube Babies aged 2 months to 1 year: Up to an eighth of a tube The dosage recommendations given in this leaflet are only intended as a guide to treatment. Because individuals can vary so much in size you might find that you need to apply slightly more or slightly less cream to completely cover the body. This will not harm you or reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.Treatment of crab lice:Not recommended for persons under 18 years of age. The elderly should be treated under medical supervision. Adults 18 years and over: Sufficient cream should be applied to cover the pubic region, peri-anal (around the anus), inner thighs down to the knees and any hair that grows up from the pubic area to the chest/stomach.One (30 g) tube is more than sufficient to treat one hairy adult. It is recommended that up to a third of a tube is used to treat the pubic region, peri-anal region, thighs, stomach and chest. Not more than two thirds of the tube should be needed for complete treatment. For relatively hair-free individuals proportionately less cream will be required. The cream should be left on the skin for 24 hours. The treatment areas should then be thoroughly washed. Any facial hair (beards, moustaches) and eyelashes should be checked for the presence of live lice and eggs. Cream should be applied to any facial hair, carefully avoiding eyes. If live lice or eggs are found on the eyelashes they should be removed carefully using tweezers. Cream should not be applied to the eye lashes because the cream can cause moderate eye irritation.

Dry hair thoroughly after the second rinse. If treating skin other than the scalp, wet the skin and apply the shampoo to affected area and the surrounding healthy skin. Lather and leave in place for 5 minutes, then rinse off with water.Dosage, number of applications, and the length of treatment depends on the strength of the shampoo (2% or 1%) and the condition being treated. Carefully follow your doctor's instructions or the package directions.Avoid contact with the eyes. If the shampoo gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.Do not begin using the shampoo if your scalp/skin is broken or swollen.Inform your doctor if your condition persists after 2-4 weeks of treatment or worsens at any time.Nizral Top is used to treat the following:Ringworm of Groin Area, Athlete's Foot, Ringworm of the Body, Fungal Infection of the Skin with Yellow Patches, Skin Infection due to a Candida Yeast, Scaly Oily Skin Problem Primarily On Face and ScalpNizral Top may also be used to treat: Ringworm of the Beard, Ringworm of Scalp, Inflammation and Infection of Nail Cuticle
Ketoconazole is used to treat fungal infections. Ketoconazole is most often used to treat fungal infections that can spread to different parts of the body through the bloodstream such as yeast infections of the mouth, skin, urinary tract, and blood, and certain fungal infections that begin on the skin or in the lungs and can spread through the body. Ketoconazole is also used to treat fungal infections of the skin or nails that cannot be treated with other medications. Ketoconazole is in a class of antifungals called imidazoles. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection. Ketoconazole comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. To help you remember to take ketoconazole, take it at around the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take ketoconazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. If you have certain medical conditions, your doctor will tell you to take ketoconazole tablets dissolved in an acid solution. Your doctor will tell you exactly how to do this. Follow these directions carefully.Your doctor will probably start you on an average dose of ketoconazole. Your doctor may increase your dose if your infection is very serious or your condition does not improve. You may need to take ketoconazole for several weeks or months to cure your infection completely. Your doctor will probably order laboratory tests to be sure your infection has been treated. Continue to take ketoconazole until your doctor tells you that you should stop, even if you feel better. Do not stop taking ketoconazole without talking to your doctor. If you stop taking ketoconazole too soon, your infection may come back after a short time. Ketoconazole is also sometimes used to treat vaginal yeast infections, tinea versicolor (spots on skin caused by yeast), eumycetoma (a severe fungal skin infection that often affects the foot), leishmaniasis (a disease caused by the bite of an infected sand fly), prostate cancer (cancer that begins in a male reproductive organ), high blood levels of calcium in patients with certain conditions, Cushing's syndrome (high blood levels of a natural substance called cortisol), and excessive hair growth in women. Talk to your doctor about the possible risks of using this drug for your condition.
Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu). Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness. How to use Amoxicillin OralTake this medication by mouth with or without food, usually every 8 or 12 hours, or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.Drink plenty of fluids while using this medication unless your doctor tells you otherwise.Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Therefore, take this drug at evenly spaced intervals.Continue to take this medication until the full-prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection.Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. This medication is used alone to treat lung cancer after other cancer chemotherapy treatments have not been successful. It is a cancer chemotherapy drug which works by blocking a certain protein (an enzyme called tyrosine kinase) which may help cancer grow and spread. How to use Gefitinib OralTake gefitinib by mouth once daily, with or without food, or as directed.Medications which reduce or completely block stomach acid (e.g., proton pump inhibitors/PPIs, H2 blockers, antacids) may decrease the absorption of gefitinib. Aciclovir is used to treat infections with the herpes simplex virus.Aciclovir works by stopping the herpes simplex virus from reproducing and infecting more cells.Aciclovir is converted to a more active form inside cells of the body that are infected with herpes simplex. The activated aciclovir then works by blocking the action of a viral enzyme called DNA polymerase. The herpes virus needs the DNA polymerase enzyme to copy its genetic material from RNA to DNA. This process is necessary for the virus to multiply and continue to survive. By blocking the action of DNA polymerase, aciclovir prevents the herpes virus from multiplying. This controls the infection and helps the immune system to deal with it.Zovirax eye ointment is specially formulated to treat inflammation of the front of the eye (cornea) caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus. This serious infection is called herpes simplex keratitis. Treatment with this medicine should continue for at least three days after the eye has healed to ensure the infection has cleared up fully.
